Burna Boy Vs Olamide — Who Makes The Better Albums?

In this industry, there are not a lot of artists who come close to Burna Boy and Olamide when it comes to albums.

In their careers that have spanned over a decade, the two artists have been some of the most consistent and most prolific ever in the game.

Olamide has the most music of almost all artists in the last twenty years. With 11 solo projects in already, the superstar has a whole lot of hits and has been consistent for a decade now.

His albums include; Rapsody, YBNL, Baddest Guy Ever Liveth, Street OT, Eyan Mayweather, The Glory, Lagos Nawa, 999, Carpe Diem, and last year’s UY Scuti.

He holds the record for the most wins for Album of the Year at The Headies. He won three back-to-back awards for “YBNL”, “Baddest Guy Ever Liveth” and “Street OT” in 2013, 2014, and 2015. No one has done something even remotely close since.

Burna Boy, on the other hand, has five notable studio albums with three of them coming in the last four years. The albums include L.I.F.E, On a Spaceship, Outside, African Giant, and his most recent release, Twice As Tall.

While his first two are albums we can do without, “Outside” is a certified classic and it has some of the biggest joints we know like “Ye.”

Of course, his last two releases are Grammy certified, with one winning the Best Global Album category last year. With this quality of music, Burna Boy is qualified to go toe-to-toe with even the best of the bests.

Perhaps the only artist that knows how to make albums just as much as Olamide, or maybe even better? While I wouldn’t go that far, I’d like to hear your thoughts on this.
