The manager of Liverpool Football Club, Jurgen Klopp has given an update as it concerns the future of Mohamed Salah at the club.
Klopp was speaking in a pre-match press conference ahead of the Reds’ quarterfinal game against Benfica in the UEFA Champions League. According to German, the right people from both parties are speaking on the contract details for Mohamed Salah.
There’s nothing new to say. The decisive parties are talking to each other and that is all I need.
He also spoke about the recent goal drought that Salah is currently facing for the Reds. The Egyptian King as he is popularly called has scored just a goal in his last six appearances for Liverpool across all competitions.
The performance level is important, the threat he brings against other teams. He could decide in a better way sometimes but it is a tough period for Mo and Sadio with the African Cup of Nations and coming back from internationals. “We see Mo every day in training and playing, there is nothing to worry about.
Salah has always made it clear that he wants to stay at Liverpool but he believes the decision is down to the club.
