Dapper Group CEO Responds to Contract Controversy Involving Seyi Vibez, Shallipopi & T.I Blaze

Dapper Group CEO Damilola Akinwunmi Addresses Contracts With Seyi Vibez, Shallipopi & T.I Blaze
Dapper Group CEO Damilola “Dapper” Akinwunmi has released a fresh statement addressing the ongoing discussions surrounding the contractual relationships between his company and artists including Seyi Vibez, Shallipopi, and T.I Blaze.
In the statement, Akinwunmi pushed back against claims suggesting the artists were unaware of the agreements they signed, arguing that the available record does not support that narrative.
According to him:
“The suggestion is that these artists did not know what they were signing. I do not accept that, and the record does not support it. A man who has the document in advance, who negotiates its terms, who improves them, who takes the benefits under it on the day it is executed, and who then operates under it for years without complaint, knows what he signed.”
The statement comes amid continued public conversations surrounding artist-management contracts in the Nigerian music industry, with fans and industry observers closely following developments involving the affected artists.

As discussions continue, Akinwunmi’s comments add another perspective to the ongoing debate over contractual obligations, transparency, and artist representation within the entertainment business.
