Baddest Guy Ever Liveth (BGEL) is Olamide’s third studio album, released on November 7, 2013, by YBNL Nation. The album continued his indigenous Yoruba rap sound while blending hip-hop, street-hop and other Nigerian musical influences.

About the Album

Baddest Guy Ever Liveth showcased Olamide’s growing confidence as an indigenous rapper. Much of the album is performed in Yoruba, with Olamide exploring different variations of the language and incorporating Yoruba musical ideas into his hip-hop sound.

The album was supported by four singles: “Durosoke,” “Turn Up,” “Yemi My Lover,” and “Eleda Mi O.”“Durosoke,” produced by Pheelz, became one of the defining songs from the project.

The project was also a major award success. Baddest Guy Ever Liveth won Album of the Year at the 2014 Nigeria Entertainment Awards and won both Best Rap Album and Album of the Year at The Headies 2014.
