British broadcaster Piers Morgan has criticized Donald Trump over an AI-generated video showing the U.S. president wrestling with a tiger, urging him to remove the post after a fatal tiger attack at a wildlife park in England.

Morgan condemned the video on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, describing it as “appallingly tasteless” and directly telling Trump to delete it. The controversy follows the death of 23-year-old William Chapman, who was fatally attacked after entering a tiger enclosure at Yorkshire Wildlife Park near Doncaster, England.

Morgan reacted to Trump’s AI-generated clip in a post on X, writing:

“This is appallingly tasteless. Delete it, President @realDonaldTrump.”

The broadcaster’s criticism came after Trump shared footage of the real-life tiger attack on Truth Social before posting an AI-generated video depicting himself confronting the same animal.

In the AI clip, Trump appears to tackle and wrestle with the tiger before embracing it, while the song “The Lion Sleeps Tonight” plays in the background. The video drew criticism online because of its timing and its apparent connection to the fatal incident.

Chapman died on Saturday, October 10, after entering the enclosure of a tiger named Altai at Yorkshire Wildlife Park. The animal attacked him, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident, including how Chapman entered the enclosure. The park has said the tiger will not be euthanized following the attack.

Chapman’s death has prompted renewed attention to the circulation of graphic footage online. South Yorkshire Police has urged people not to share or repost videos of the incident.

Chapman’s family has expressed distress over the circulation of material showing the attack, asking the public to stop sharing content they described as deeply offensive.

The family said the online circulation of the footage was causing additional pain as they tried to come to terms with their loss. Their appeal has added to criticism of the decision to repost the footage and create content referencing the tragedy.

Morgan was among several public figures who criticized Trump’s AI video. British broadcaster Kay Burley also responded negatively, while other commentators questioned the judgment behind posting a humorous depiction involving the tiger so soon after the fatal attack.

The backlash has centered on the timing of the post, particularly given the family’s request that footage of Chapman’s final moments no longer be circulated.

As of TheWrap’s report on Wednesday, Trump’s posts remained on Truth Social. There was no indication in the report that he had accepted Morgan’s demand to remove the AI-generated video.

The controversy has raised questions about how public figures use social media when sharing material connected to real-life deaths. While AI-generated videos can be used for satire or entertainment, this particular clip prompted criticism because it followed a fatal incident and appeared to turn the circumstances into a fictional scenario featuring the president.

Morgan’s response reflects the objections of those who believe the video was inappropriate in light of the victim’s death and his family’s request for privacy.

For Chapman’s family, the immediate concern remains the circulation of distressing footage during an already painful period. Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
