What it’s about
Arriving on the self-titled 2017 album FUTURE, this rap cut sees the seasoned artist delivering his signature hip hop style across a three-minute runtime. Without the lyrics on hand, listeners can look to the title for cues, as going by the name Mask Off, the record hints at themes of dropping pretenses, revealing true identity, or shedding inhibitions. Released through Epic, Freebandz, and A1, it fits naturally into his expansive catalog of heavy-hitting rap and trap sounds. For hip hop fans, the track offers another distinct moment from his prolific run of music.
