Senator Ned Nwoko has pleaded with Nigerians, social media commentators, and bloggers to give Nollywood actress Regina Daniels some breathing space as she deals with health challenges. The federal lawmaker made the appeal in a statement released on his social media page, according to Arise News.
Nwoko noted that Daniels needs love and an atmosphere that supports her healing rather than public criticism and harsh judgements. He explained that his plea is also for their two young sons, stressing that the children deserve to see their mother supported and given every chance to get better.
The politician voiced deep anger over fabricated death notices and misleading narratives circulating online, stating that such claims inflict severe emotional distress on the actress. He warned that his team is keeping track of the false reports and will take appropriate legal action against anyone fabricating news about her death, condition, or private life.
Daniels recently gave the public a look into her condition when she posted a video for her 25th birthday in October, appearing in a wheelchair and discussing complications that have affected her mobility. Nwoko acknowledged that the video revealed what she has been battling and insisted her situation should not become material for online gossip.
The pair, who tied the knot in 2019, experienced marital friction that spilled into public view in October 2025, with both exchanging accusations. Nwoko's statement did not declare any reconciliation between them, but he maintained that his concern for the movie star's welfare remains genuine despite their ongoing rift.
