The Senior Pastor of Fountain of Life Church, Pastor Jimmy Odukoya, has officially unveiled his new wife, Pastor Mo Odukoya, to his congregation in Lagos. He presented her during the Sunday church service at the ministry’s headquarters in Ilupeju, Lagos State, according to Punch.
The announcement settled online curiosity that began a day earlier when the Nollywood star turned cleric shared a photograph of two hands wearing wedding rings on his Instagram account, captioned “To New Beginnings.” Addressing the church playfully before making the reveal, Odukoya joked about how much the members enjoyed gist and teased them about the social media update. He danced to soft music from the pianist before explaining that he had been walking alone since taking up leadership of the church.
Referencing the biblical creation story of Adam finding his partner, Odukoya revealed that he had been searching and finally found his match. He formally invited his wife to the stage, addressing her as the new first lady of the church. Pastor Mo, who is the daughter of Reverend Titus Daniel and Reverend Bolaji Daniel, expressed joy at standing beside her husband and joining the Fountain of Life family.
Odukoya also invited his late mother’s brother, Pastor Tunde Bakare of The Citadel Global Community Church, and his wife, Olayide, to pronounce blessings on the union. Bakare noted during his prayers that the couple tied the knot in the United States, asking God to fortify the marriage and protect the church from future challenges.
Before this new chapter, Odukoya had married Oluwakemi Banjoko in London back in 2013, a union that produced two children before the pair eventually went their separate ways. Outside the pulpit, Odukoya earned widespread recognition across Africa and internationally as an actor, notably starring as Oba Ade in the 2022 Hollywood blockbuster "The Woman King," before succeeding his late father, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, as senior pastor in 2023.
