Popular Nollywood actress Rachael Okonkwo has announced her engagement to businessman Chief Chukwudi Onuorah, according to Galaxy Television.
The 39-year-old screen star confirmed the news in a video shared on social media, where she displayed an engagement ring while carrying a bouquet of red roses at the proposal venue. In the clip, the excited actress stated that she was blushing and feeling shy, playfully calling her fiancé her billionaire baby. She also updated her Instagram bio to include his name, presenting herself as Rachael Okonkwo Chukwudi Onuorah.
Reports indicate that the couple has already commenced their traditional wedding journey. An introduction ceremony, known as Iku Aka, reportedly took place on October 11, 2026, at Okonkwo's family home in Nsukka, Enugu State. Onuorah, who is also known as Model, is from Eke in the Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State and is said to be a widower with five children.
This development arrives months after the actress opened up about what she needed in a partner. Speaking in March, she explained that she was giving priority to personal growth before entering a serious relationship. She noted that she was not interested in a poverty-alleviation union, explaining that she wanted an established man who had already found his path in life.
The engagement also follows shortly after Okonkwo received a political appointment in Enugu State.
Okonkwo started acting during her childhood before stepping away into dance due to a scarcity of movie roles at the time. She later returned to the film industry and rose to nationwide prominence in 2014, when she starred as the lead character Nkoli in the hit movie Nkoli Nwa Nsukka.
