Champion Breweries Plc is expanding its footprint across the continent through a partnership with the contemporary art fair ART X Lagos 2026, according to Punch. The company is using the platform to introduce its wider drinks selection to art and music enthusiasts in Nigeria.

The 11th edition of the visual art fair opened on 5 November and is scheduled to run until 8 November 2026 in Lagos. This year’s programme is being hosted under the theme "A New Chapter, A New Decade," highlighting how African traditions continue to drive modern creative work.

This marks the second consecutive year that the brewery business is backing the annual fair. The tie-up forms part of the company's broader commercial plan following its purchase of the Bullet brand, an acquisition that boosted its ready-to-drink alcohol and energy drink operations across 14 African countries.

Eric Idiahi, the Group CEO of Evercorp Industries and Director at Champion Breweries, explained that business organisations need to invest in the creative sector. He noted that culture reflects African identity and aspirations, adding that companies must assist platforms that preserve these traditions and connect artists with wider crowds.

Beyond the gallery presentations, the brewery's presence will extend to the fair's popular live music and visual art showcase, ART X Live!, on Saturday, 7 November. Its Bullet brand will be the lead partner for the night, spotlighting fresh African musical acts including Kunmie, Lulu, and Taves.

The live performance segment is being curated by Lanre Masha to honour contemporary musicians who blend heritage with modern styles. Guests attending the visual art fair can also visit the dedicated Champion Brands Lounge, which remains open from 6 November to 8 November.
