A fresh dispute has emerged within the Nasarawa State chapter of the All Progressives Congress over the makeup of its governorship campaign council. The internal friction follows the appointment of an opposition candidate to the party's election team, according to Premium Times Nigeria.

The controversy centers on Kabiru Dallah, who is contesting for the Lafia/Obi Federal Constituency under the Zenith Labour Party. Party members raised concerns after his name appeared on the campaign council list for the APC governorship race.

The development has been linked to the Rainbow Coalition associated with former Rivers State governor and current political figure Nyesom Wike. The strategy involves drawing politicians across different party lines into shared campaign structures, an approach that has now triggered pushback from within the ruling party in Nasarawa.

APC members in the state have expressed unease over having rival party figures involved in high-level campaign activities. Zenith Labour Party and APC candidates are competing for several legislative positions in the area, creating tension over the mixed appointments.

The party leadership in Nasarawa State has not yet issued an official announcement explaining the inclusion or clarifying whether adjustments will be made to the campaign roster before major election events begin.
