Fintech company OPay has broadened its physical footprint across Nigeria by opening a new branch in Kano State. The platform announced the move following an opening event held at the premises, according to TechAfrica News.
The new branch is situated along Hadeja Road in Kano, close to Yankaba Market and adjacent to Keystone Bank. OPay stated that establishing a base there will bring its services closer to individuals and businesses operating within the state and neighbouring areas.
During the rollout, the firm described the development as a major milestone toward making financial transactions more dependable, simple, and reachable. However, OPay did not share exact details on the precise services that will run at the Kano location, nor did it state if the premises would house customer care or other operational teams.
Over the years, OPay has grown into one of Nigeria's prominent digital financial services, widely used for mobile transfers, bill payments, and merchant merchant transactions. Setting up a physical point in Kano reflects a wider push within the local fintech sector to mix online tools with offline walk-in support, especially in major commercial centres across northern Nigeria.
