Fuji music veteran Pasuma has linked up with indigenous singer Qdot to release a new track titled "Up Up Way." The collaborative release marks another notable cross-genre outing involving the legendary fuji act, according to Val9ja.
The new single sees both artists combining their distinct sounds. While Pasuma brings his signature street-rooted fuji approach to the table, Qdot complements the record with his unique delivery that frequently bridges contemporary pop melodies and Yoruba cultural expressions.
Over the span of several decades, Pasuma has maintained a strong presence in the Nigerian music industry. Beyond his standard fuji albums, he has constantly embraced modern street-pop styles through multiple high-profile collaborations with Afrobeats performers.
Similarly, Qdot has earned his place as a prominent voice in indigenous Nigerian street music, known for blending local folk elements with upbeat sounds. Their pairing on "Up Up Way" provides fans of street-hop and fuji music with a fresh anthem as the year winds down.
