Africa Comedy Live is officially expanding its entertainment platform into the African continent, starting with a special gathering in Lagos, Nigeria. The organisation announced that it will host an invitation-only event tagged "A Salute to Nollywood" on Friday, 13 November 2026.

According to a report by BellaNaija, the private ceremony will take place at TRIB3, located in Victoria Island, Lagos. The gathering is planned to mark the formal arrival of the platform into the African entertainment market.

The event will also serve as a tribute to early comedians and Nollywood storytellers whose creative work helped build a large following for modern African comedy. Performers, entertainment executives, media representatives, and potential partners are set to attend the gathering.

Africa Comedy Live has been hosting live comedy showcases in the United States since 2019. Over the years, the brand has featured several prominent Nigerian performers, including Kenny Blaq, Helen Paul, Real Warri Pikin, and David Operah.

The digital platform, operating online via its official website, aims to give creators an extra avenue to showcase their work rather than replace existing networks. It is designed to assist African content creators in retaining their follower base, boosting their income, and reaching viewers across different continents.

Organisers revealed that the Lagos programme will include a live walkthrough of the platform, alongside sessions dedicated to celebrating the growth of African comedy and honouring veteran entertainers whose craft continues to inspire rising talents.
