According to Vanguard, the emotional plea came shortly after she was released from detention and following the tragic death of her son, Brian, whom she called "Doom Doom".
In the broadcast, she described herself as drained and broken, explaining that she had learned bitter lessons and now understood the weight of the suffering she once mocked. She stated, "I’m so sorry for speaking about the pain I’ve never felt. I’m realising that talk is cheap. Action speaks louder than voice." Comparing herself to the prodigal son, she promised to right her past wrongs.
Her comments quickly caught the attention of Nollywood actress Sarah Martins, who responded directly to the apology. Martins urged the relationship blogger to start making amends by visiting the grave of the late Bimbo Ogbonna to ask for her forgiveness.
Blessing CEO has frequently courted public fury over the years with her inflammatory commentary online. She faced fierce criticism for her remarks surrounding the domestic dispute between IVD and his late wife, Bimbo Ogbonna, and repeatedly targeted May Edochie during her marital troubles. She also encountered severe backlash earlier in 2026 after appealing for public funds while claiming to have stage four breast cancer, an assertion she later walked back when discrepancies emerged regarding her medical documents.
Blessing noted in the video that the heartbreak of losing her child had left her family devastated, revealing that she and her mother often concealed their tears from each other as she strives to turn a new leaf.
