Lagos Fashion Week 2026 has returned to spotlight the city's vibrant style scene, drawing together designers, industry personalities, and entertainment figures for another round of runway showcases and creative events.
This year's edition includes an array of curated activities under the theme City of Cities: Where Taste Rules, according to BellaNaija. The schedule features the Heineken Runway showcase, the Heineken Lounge, the Heineken After Party, and the Nigerian debut of Heineken Studio, which serves as a dedicated space exploring brand innovation and hospitality.
The runway presentations have already started generating notable talking points across entertainment channels. Fast-rising music talent Zerry DL caught the attention of fashion and music fans after featuring as a model during the Oshobor showcase, with video clips of his runway walk quickly circulating on social media.
The annual fashion gathering continues to build on previous milestones that combined style with other creative sectors. During last year's event, the City of Cities showcase presented a 46-piece collection curated by Omoyemi Akerele, which highlighted pieces from top designers including Atafo, Nkwo, Orange Culture, Dimeji Ilori, and Eki Kere. The presentation mixed detailed craftsmanship, sequins, raffia, and beads with live entertainment from the LOUD Urban Choir.
Beyond the runway exhibitions, organizers and sponsors are also focusing on audience connection spaces. Last year's event incorporated live podcast sessions featuring popular Nigerian shows such as Tea with Tay, Toke Moments, and Off Air with Gbemi and Toolz, while welcoming international guests such as American music star Ciara to the Lagos fashion hub.
For this year's run, the organizers are keeping the emphasis on community engagement, offering attendees opportunities to interact with fashion creators, explore fresh tailoring ideas, and network across various themed zones.
