Isaac Fayose has raised alarm over potential electoral manipulation ahead of the 2027 general elections, alleging that political actors could introduce over 50 million artificial intelligence voters to skew the final results. The younger brother of former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose made these claims in a video circulating across social media platforms.
Beyond the technology claims, Fayose called for the immediate resignation of the Independent National Electoral Commission chairman, Prof. Joash Amupitan, according to The Trumpet Newspaper Nigeria. He insisted that a new and impartial leader must be appointed to oversee the electoral body before the upcoming national polls.
In the viral clip, Fayose expressed fear that fabricated voter data could drown out real ballots cast by citizens. He argued that genuine voters would simply be overwhelmed by artificial data, stating, “For 50 million AI, you go vote, vote tire.”
The politician also revisited past voting records in Ekiti State, claiming that actual voter turnout had never crossed the 400,000 mark. He alleged that past state figures were deliberately pushed up to one million, pointing to such inflated numbers as earlier examples of artificial voters being used in the system.
Fayose additionally raised concerns over the distribution of extra Permanent Voter Cards, suggesting that individuals could easily use multiple identities during polling to cheat. However, he did not provide any documents, data, or technical proof to support his allegations, and the claims remain unverified.
Turning his focus to the leadership of INEC, Fayose demanded an immediate change at the top of the commission to protect public trust. He declared, “Say no to Amupitan. Amupitan must resign before election. Let us have a neutral person to conduct this election.”
Fayose ended his message by urging citizens to be vigilant and demand full transparency from authorities, warning them not to stay quiet while the future of the country and their children is put at risk.
