Nigerian educator and advocate Leo Igwe has introduced Qstorm Cards as a tool to advance the gamification of philosophy and critical thinking for children across the country, according to Opinion Nigeria.
The initiative aims to use play-based methods to help young learners develop inquiry habits and basic analytical skills. By turning questioning into a structured game, the project seeks to make complex philosophical concepts accessible and engaging for schoolchildren.
Advocates of the philosophy for children movement have often noted that encouraging young minds to ask questions early strengthens problem-solving and independent thought. The introduction of Qstorm Cards builds on efforts to modernise classroom engagement and encourage children to explore everyday assumptions through interactive learning.
Nigeria’s educational sector has increasingly seen discussions around integrating creative thinking alongside the standard curriculum. Methods that use cards and instructional games offer teachers practical ways to stimulate group dialogue, reason-giving, and collaborative problem-solving among pupils.
