Nigerian music heavyweight Davido has teamed up with renowned South African group Uhuru and DJ Buckz for their collaborative track titled The Sound, according to TrendyHipHop.
The record highlights a cross-continental sonic fusion, blending Davido’s signature Nigerian Afrobeats flair with the driving South African dance rhythms championed by Uhuru and DJ Buckz.
The new release adds to Davido's massive discography, which spans 148 tracks hosted on TopCityTune. It also follows on the heels of his late October 2026 release, Offa Me, on which he featured American singer Victoria Monét.
Davido has maintained an active release schedule in recent years, issuing major bodies of work including his 2026 project Oriadé, 5ive in 2025, and the critically acclaimed 2023 album Timeless. His earlier full-length projects include A Better Time in 2020 and A Good Time in 2019.
The singer, affiliated with Columbia Records and his own imprint Davido Music Worldwide (DMW), has regularly tapped international talent for cross-border projects. Over the course of his career, he has shared tracks with diverse global stars including Chris Brown, Musa Keys, Mayorkun, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, and Young Thug.
His catalog features enduring fan favorites such as Aye, D & G featuring Summer Walker, and NA MONEY with The Cavemen and Angélique Kidjo, alongside recent Oriadé cuts like My Light with Llona and Amazing Grace featuring Black Sherif.
