Nigerian recording artist L.A.X and his wife, Ella, have conducted their Nikkah ceremony, sealing their union in line with Islamic traditions.
The event took place just weeks after the couple had their civil wedding in Malta in September, according to Olorisupergal. Following that European ceremony, the singer posted snapshots on Instagram celebrating the milestone, describing himself as officially married to the love of his life and expressing his fondness for the host country.
Their marital journey gained public attention earlier in the year when L.A.X proposed to Ella on January 16, 2026. The Nikkah ceremony now marks the latest formal step in establishing their marriage.
Born Damilola Afolabi, L.A.X began his path in music as a secondary school rapper, initially creating a music outfit known as Flyboiz before venturing out as an independent artist.
He broke out in 2013 following the release of the hit song "Caro" alongside Wizkid under Starboy Entertainment. The track went on to pick up a nomination for Hottest Single of the Year at the 2014 Nigeria Entertainment Awards. The pair followed up that momentum with another successful collaborative track titled "Ginger", which strengthened his standing across the Nigerian music space.
The singer, who now releases music through Rasaki Music Ltd and EMPIRE, dropped his single "MAGAA" in June 2026.
