Popular Nigerian socialite and crossdresser Bobrisky has described leaving Nigeria as one of the best choices he has ever made, noting that life in another country has brought him total peace of mind.
Sharing his thoughts on Instagram on Saturday, Bobrisky reflected on his experience after spending almost two years away from his home country, according to Punch. He explained that stepping outside the country helped him escape an unhealthy cycle of public disputes and gossip that previously drained him.
Bobrisky described the Nigerian entertainment and social scene as exhausting, stating that relocating has made him happier and refreshed. He noted that he has managed to avoid any public or personal quarrel throughout his time abroad and plans to guard his peace firmly moving forward.
According to him, stepping away from negative situations has allowed him to focus on personal wellbeing. He pledged to protect his happiness, his growth, and his calm atmosphere at all costs.
Bobrisky moved out of Nigeria in November 2024. That departure came after heavy public debate and a dispute involving federal authorities concerning whether he fully completed his prison term.
Earlier in April 2024, a court had handed the socialite a six-month prison sentence with no option of a fine after he pleaded guilty to charges related to abusing the naira by spraying currency notes during events.
Since settling abroad, the public figure has consistently stressed the need to focus on mental stability and finding a supportive community away from home.
