Fulham have honoured Nigerian international Calvin Bassey after the defender reached a notable milestone in the English Premier League, according to Pulse Nigeria.
The London club celebrated the Super Eagles star following his continued run of appearances in the English top flight. Bassey has established himself as a central figure in Fulham's backline since joining the team, earning praise for his consistency and defensive work.
The recognition highlights the defender's steady progress since arriving in the Premier League. Bassey, who made his senior international debut for Nigeria after rising through the ranks of European football, has become a regular starter for both club and country.
Before his arrival in England, Bassey made a name for himself in Scotland with Rangers, helping the Glasgow side reach the UEFA Europa League final in 2022. His solid displays in that European campaign earned him a high-profile switch to Dutch giants Ajax, where he spent a season before sealing a transfer to Fulham.
His physical presence and ability to operate either as a central defender or at left-back have made him an invaluable asset for Fulham manager Marco Silva. Bassey also played an influential role for the Super Eagles during the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Ivory Coast, where Nigeria reached the final.
Fulham's acknowledgement of his league milestone underlines his growing reputation in English football as he continues to be a key pillar in the club's campaign this season.
