Manchester City forward Erling Haaland has urged his teammates to be far more clinical following their hard-fought 3-2 victory over RB Leipzig in the UEFA Champions League. The Norwegian international netted a late winner to snatch all three points on German soil, according to LiveScore.
Speaking after the contest, Haaland made it clear that the squad cannot afford to rest on their laurels despite picking up the win. He stated, "We need to step up a little bit," pushing the European giants to show more ruthlessness in crucial moments.
The dramatic European victory comes at a time when unexpected transfer talk has surfaced around the striker. Speculation linking Haaland with a potential move to Arsenal has taken many by surprise, drawing strong reactions from former Manchester City figures.
According to reports from Goal, discussions surrounding the Premier League's Financial Fair Play regulations have added to the uncertainty. Pundits have described the current financial scrutiny as a messy situation that risks damaging the global standing of the English top flight.
Haaland has been Manchester City's leading attacking weapon since joining the club from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2022. He previously fired Pep Guardiola's side to a historic treble, securing the Premier League title, the FA Cup, and the Champions League in his debut campaign.
Despite the outside noise regarding transfers and league finances, Haaland's immediate focus remains on maintaining City's strong form across both domestic and European competitions.
