England captain Harry Kane has officially extended his stay with Bayern Munich, agreeing to a new deal that runs through June 30, 2029. The German champions confirmed the agreement on Thursday, locking down their star forward following an incredible run of form.
The 33-year-old striker has enjoyed tremendous success since arriving from Tottenham Hotspur in August 2023. Kane was entering the closing stage of his original contract, but the fresh commitment puts an end to outside transfer talk that recently linked him to Barcelona and clubs in Saudi Arabia, according to Punch.
Kane expressed delight after penning the extension, stating that he feels right at home in Munich alongside his family. He praised the club, its supporters, and manager Vincent Kompany, adding that he remains eager to lift many more trophies in Germany.
The contract extension comes right after an extraordinary 2025/26 campaign for the forward. Kane netted 61 goals in 51 outings across all competitions to help Bayern secure both the Bundesliga title and the DFB Cup. His remarkable tally of 73 total goals for club and country earned him the prestigious men's Ballon d'Or award in London on October 26, 2026.
Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund hailed Kane as an exceptional team leader and a complete striker, noting that retaining the England international plays a vital role in the team's long-term ambitions. Since moving to Germany, Kane has struck 156 goals in 161 matches for Bayern, claiming three consecutive Bundesliga top-scorer awards.
The extended deal ensures Kane remains a cornerstone for Bayern Munich as the prolific goalscorer sets his sights on further domestic and European titles heading into the 2030 World Cup cycle.
