The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, has praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima, calling their partnership the most formidable presidential ticket in the history of Nigeria. He made this declaration while making a strong case for the duo's re-election ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Speaking in Port Harcourt at the Rainbow Coalition Presidential Campaign Rally, held at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Yilwatda said Tinubu deserves a second term in office to properly consolidate his administration's economic reforms and development agenda. His comments were released in an official statement signed by his media adviser, Abimbola Tooki, according to thefact.ng.

The gathering in Rivers State drew party faithful, coalition partners, and political leaders from across the South-South region as part of early nationwide mobilisation for the upcoming 2027 presidential race. Yilwatda told the crowd that the current presidency blends deep experience, courage, and proven capacity to guide the country through its existing economic difficulties.

Defending the administration's tough economic decisions, Yilwatda pointed out that Tinubu took over a nation weighed down by serious revenue shortages, rising obligations, and costly fuel subsidies. He noted that the decision to end fuel subsidies and unify the foreign exchange market formed the foundation needed to restore public finances and create long-term stability.

While acknowledging that these policy changes have caused noticeable strain for businesses and ordinary families, the APC chairman maintained that the Federal Government remains committed to easing the burden. He stated that relief is being rolled out through targeted social interventions, economic stabilisation efforts, and broad investments in key infrastructure.

Yilwatda also pointed to the Federal Government's ongoing and planned superhighway corridors across the country, describing them as vital economic links that will lower transport costs and boost commerce, industry, and tourism. He urged citizens to stay committed to the administration's Renewed Hope Agenda, insisting that continuity remains the best path for Nigeria's development.
