British rapper Skepta and Nigerian street-pop star Asake have made an immediate impact on the domestic streaming charts. Their collaborative single, "Aloe Vera," landed at number three on the Spotify Nigeria daily songs chart on November 6, 2026.
According to InterSpace Music Distribution, the record pulled in 219,278 local plays on Spotify during its first day of release. This opening tally placed the joint effort right behind "INFERNO" by Peruzzi, Zlatan, and Shoday at the top spot, and Seyi Vibez's "BACK 2 U" at number two, while staying ahead of BNXN's "If You Like."
The single is part of Skepta's newly released studio album, *The Fork and Knife*, which dropped on November 6 through Big Smoke Records under exclusive licence to Epic Records, a division of Sony Music Entertainment UK. Alongside Skepta and Asake, chart credits for the track also list producers Lex Luger and Vanco.
This early run highlights the massive domestic pull of Asake, who remains one of Nigeria’s most sought-after vocalists following acclaimed studio albums such as *Work Of Art*, *Lungu Boy*, and *M$NEY*. Skepta is also no stranger to Nigerian audiences, having previously worked alongside major domestic stars including Wizkid, Davido, and Naira Marley.
While daily numbers show high early interest among Nigerian music fans, the broader performance of the song will become clearer in the coming weeks. Listeners and industry watchers will also look to the upcoming TurnTable Official Nigeria Top 100 rankings to see how the single performs across general radio airplay and rival digital music platforms nationwide.
