Four players have been shortlisted for the Ghana Premier League NASCO Player of the Month award for October, following their strong displays across the competition.
According to the Ghana Football Association, the shortlist recognises individuals who caught the eye with their displays during league matches played throughout the month.
The players in the running are Port City talent Owusu Ansah, Hearts of Oak player Kelvin Osei Asibey, Gold Stars performer Kwame Opoku, and Eric Wiafe Darkwah from Swedru All Blacks.
Aside from the recognition, there are major home appliances on the line for whoever comes out on top. The association revealed that the eventual winner will take home a 43-inch NASCO television set and a NASCO double-door bottom-freezer refrigerator, which are provided by sponsor Electroland Ghana Limited.
Individual awards like the monthly prizes in the Ghana top flight aim to reward consistency and celebrate form as clubs push for position during the domestic season.
Football fans and observers in Ghana and across the West African region now wait to see which of the four nominated players will take home the October honours.
