Nollywood actress Regina Daniels and media commentator Kemi Olunloyo have traded words on social media over remarks concerning the movie star's current personal difficulties.
The public disagreement started when Olunloyo took to her platform to warn Daniels' supporters to stop attacking her. She noted that the actress requires emotional care and positive thoughts at this period, asking Daniels' online followers to avoid mentioning her name.
According to a report by QED.NG, the screen star did not welcome the comments and quickly fired back. Daniels stated that she had deliberately chosen to overlook Olunloyo because she had stepped away from public disputes.
Daniels, who addressed Olunloyo as "Aunty werey", accused the self-styled journalist of chasing clout. She noted that she was currently resting and recuperating from an ordeal that could have overwhelmed others, questioning why Olunloyo felt entitled to direct her fans.
The actress added that she decided to reply solely because of Olunloyo's age, dismissing her commentary as empty noise spoken in polished English.
Reacting to the post, Olunloyo expressed anger over being called a mad person, stating that she would not accept such disrespect. She also wondered whether someone else was managing the actress's handle to impersonate her.
The confrontation comes shortly after Daniels' estranged partner, Senator Ned Nwoko, publicly pleaded with internet users and commentators to grant the film star privacy to heal.
In an Instagram release issued on 2 November 2026, the lawmaker raised alarm over baseless rumours regarding Daniels' health status and false death claims, cautioning that peddlers of fake reports could face court action. Nwoko urged members of the public to discard malicious rumours and instead offer the actress emotional backing.
