Football supporters in Nigeria will have a chance to see the Premier League trophy live in Lagos later this month. Trading broker HFM, an official partner of Arsenal, announced that the silverware will be showcased on Tuesday, November 17, 2026, marking the start of a three-city African tour.
The Lagos showcase will take place at the Landmark Centre and Event Spaces in Victoria Island from 1:30 PM to 5 PM, according to investingLive. Organisers stated that entry is free for the public, although attendees must register online beforehand to obtain a personal QR code for access.
Fans attending the Victoria Island gathering can expect interactive games, Afrobeats music, entertainment, and photo opportunities beside the famous silverware. HFM noted that the initiative is designed to bring celebrations directly to African football enthusiasts through its corporate partnership with Arsenal.
The African showcase will not end in Nigeria. After the opening leg in Lagos, the trophy is scheduled to travel to Nairobi on November 19, before wrapping up the tour in Cape Town on November 21.
The announcement comes as discussions heat up around the current English top-flight campaign. Former England and Manchester City goalkeeper David James recently assessed the title race, calling Arsenal the frontrunners to claim the league crown this season. Speaking to Jio Star, James highlighted Mikel Arteta's squad for their early form, including an away victory against Liverpool at Anfield where they kept a clean sheet.
However, James cautioned against dismissing Manchester City despite their recent back-to-back league defeats. The former shot-stopper stressed that the margin for error at the top level is now practically zero, predicting that either Arsenal or City will eventually lift the title at the end of the campaign.
