Former Big Brother Naija housemate Saidat Balogun, popularly known as Avala, has welcomed a baby girl named Nayabella with her partner, Fawazzy. The singer and reality television personality revealed the news on social media on Sunday, posting pictures of the newborn child.
While celebrating the arrival, Avala opened up about the difficult process leading up to the birth. According to QED.NG, she explained that her delivery was quite scary and tested her endurance before the child safely arrived.
Avala noted that bringing the baby into the world required immense strength, courage, and grace. She explained that she felt tired and afraid at several points during the experience, but her faith helped her through the tough moments and tears.
Holding her daughter, Avala expressed deep gratitude and described the child as a cherished gift and a little miracle. She also mentioned that her older daughter, Elanni, was thrilled to officially take on the role of an older sister.
The news comes shortly after the couple publicly shared that they were expecting a baby earlier in October. The reality star had also previously revealed that she and Fawazzy became engaged earlier in the year before making their pregnancy public.
Avala first rose to national prominence as a contestant on the fourth season of Big Brother Naija, themed Pepper Dem, in 2019. Although she exited the competition alongside fellow housemate Isilomo during the opening week, she has since focused on her career as a singer, songwriter, and creative entrepreneur.
